"Grow It and They Will Come!"

The dictionary defines agritourism as “the practice of touring agricultural areas to see farms and often to participate in farm activities.”

At Collins Orchard, we define agritourism as taking a pleasant drive to discover a farm in south Conway!  Agritourism is more than visiting a farm ... it is teaching children the satisfaction of picking their own fruit.

We feel agritourism gives families the opportunity to reconnect by slowing down from the stress of every day life, to focus on relaxing and enjoying each other while they are picking their own fruit and vegetables.  Experience it with your children!!

In 1985, Richard and Barbara Collins purchased land on top of Round Mountain. They planted part of the orchard during this time. As the demand for fruits and vegetables grew, so did the orchard. The orchard grew from a few thousand trees and a few acres to over 150 acres.

Today the orchard is a family business and has become a way of life, which includes the Collins Family being named 2001 Farm Family of the Year.

Since the retirement of Richard and Barbara Collins, the orchard was purchased by their son-in-law and daughter, Racy and Marcie Garis.  The orchard continues to be a family business with all family members helping including the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
